Omega Cold Press Juicer

Get nutrient-packed juice: cold press slow juicer operates at 80 RPMs to maximize nutrient extraction and minimize oxidation.

Multi-functional tool: versatile machine for making nut butter, pasta, baby food, and more.

Triple-stage masticating technology: extracts maximum flavor and nutrients from minimal amounts of fruits, vegetables, and wheatgrass.

In my attempt to adopt healthier lifestyle habits, I’ve recently started juicing again. And I absolutely love drinking freshly pressed juices in the morning!

There are so many healthy juice recipes to choose from, and I try to test new mixes every week to keep things interesting. The problem is I’m going to need a new high-quality juicer if I want to continue juicing regularly.

The juicer I have right now is pretty basic. I got it for about 40 bucks, and it serves as sort of a test juicer; it kind of does the job. But I’ve found it has some serious flaws that prevent me from using it as often as I would like to.

So now, I am looking for a juicer that is:

  1. Easy to clean
  2. Quiet
  3. Not wasteful (squeezes out the most juice)

I’ve already spent hours researching top-rated juicers online, and I want to share my research with you in case you guys are also looking to invest in an electric juice maker. If you don’t know anything about juicing or juicers yet, go check out my Juicer Buying Guide first.

What is the best juicer in 2023 – 2024?

If you’re really looking for a high-quality juice maker, all you need to know is this:

Omega, Breville, and Tribest are the top three juicer brands in the world.

Other manufacturers produce similar machines, but they are less known and also lower rated. Honestly, I would rather buy a well-rated older model that’s proven to work by thousands of people than buy the latest model of an unknown brand.

Without further ado, here are the reviews of the three best juicers for 2023 – 2024.

#1 Omega J8006HDC – Best Masticating Juicer

The Omega J8006HDC Nutrition Center is the best masticating juicer on the market.

It is an upgraded model of Omega J8006, which is one of the most popular slow juicers sold in the world today.

It is highly rated on Amazon and other e-commerce websites and has hundreds of satisfied users.

Why I like it

The upgraded J8006HDC comes with BPA-free parts, which is becoming more and more important to me when it comes to any kitchen tool.

Although new research shows BPA-free plastic is not actually free of harmful chemicals, I still think it’s safer than regular plastic. The J8006HDC comes with fewer plastic parts than other masticating juicers I reviewed for this article. Plus, most juicers today are still made with regular plastic, which makes the J8006HDC a better choice.

The Omega works well with all types of produce:

  • Soft fruits/veggies such as citrus fruits and tomatoes
  • Hard fruits/veggies such as apples and carrots
  • Leafy greens

It’s also one of the best wheatgrass juicers available. Leafy greens can offer amazing benefits to our health, so considering whether a juicer can handle leafy greens and wheatgrass is a must for any health fanatic.

I also love that the J8008C Nutrition Center is a multifunctional kitchen tool that includes blades for making other things like:

  • pasta,
  • nut milk,
  • nut butter,
  • grinding spices or coffee,
  • mincing garlic and herbs.

Although quite expensive, the additional functions more than make up for the price of it.

One of the best things about the OmegaJ8008C though is that it’s one of the quietest juicers on the market. Another important factor if juicing regularly is your goal!

The pulp seems to come out nice and dry, which means juice yield is also very high. That’s great news as I absolutely hate wasting food.

Juice made with the Omega juicer is supposed to stay good for up to 72 hours, which is much longer than what other juicers can promise.

It comes with a 15-years warranty!

What I don’t like about it

The juicing process is a little bit long:

You first have to cut up your fruits and veggies as the chute is not very wide. Cleaning and prepping the produce adds about 10-15 minutes to the process.

Since masticating juicers are also known as slow juicers, they run longer than centrifugal juicers. So it’s probably a good idea to make large batches of juice at once if you want to save time

It’s a bit expensive. It sells for around 300 bucks, which is only justified if you’re serious about making juicing a regular part of your lifestyle.

Summary

The Omega J8008C is, in my opinion, the best masticating juicer on the market today. It’s great for juicing all types of fruits and veggies, including leafy greens and wheatgrass.

Compared to other similar juicers, it produces a much drier pulp, is easier to clean, and runs smoothly and quietly.

With its 15-year warranty, it’s my top choice in this category.

#2 Breville Juice Fountain Cold – Best Centrifugal Juicer

Breville is one of the most popular centrifugal juicer brands today.

They have lots of different models available, but I think the Juice Fountain Cold is the best centrifugal juicer for 2023 – 2024:

It’s simple, fast and easy to use.

It is compact, which makes it suitable for small kitchens or when finding counter space is an issue.

Let’s see what more this Breville juicer can offer.

Why I like it

It’s a very fast and simple juicer – the whole process of prepping your produce, extracting the liquid, and cleaning up takes about 15 minutes. It is an excellent choice for busy workday mornings!

The Juice Fountain Cold comes with two speed options, which is great as different produce needs to be processed at different speeds.

The best thing about it though is the innovative Cold Spin Technology that’s used for this model. The Cold Spin Technology is meant to preserve more nutrients compared to other centrifugal juicers, Breville brand or others, by decreasing the internal temperature of the juicer.

Now, from what I understand, the supposed increase in temperature in centrifugal juicers is just a marketing trick to sell more expensive cold press or masticating juicers. But I like the Cold Spin Technology because it somehow increases the juice’s shelf life from one day to three.

This Breville juicer works best with hard produce, but it’s also good for citrus fruits. It’s a versatile juicer allowing you to make both healthy veggie drinks as well as the occasional orange juice.

You can’t really juice soft fruits with it because they’ll get stuck in the blades. Breville has included a separate disk for turning them into yummy purees and smoothies, though, so it’s kind of a blender-juicer all in one.

The Juice Fountain Cold has got a nice upright design, which makes it a great compact juicer. It’s perfect for small kitchens or if you already have a lot of kitchen appliances.

I also like its beautiful metal body and that all parts that come in touch with food are made of BPA-free plastic.

What I don’t like about it

The high speeds separate the juice and create more foam than the masticating Omega juicer does. From what I know, the foam oxidizes the juice faster, so you should consume it as soon as possible after you make it. Otherwise, as I said above, it will last up to 72 hours in a tightly sealed container in the fridge.

The pulp comes out quite wet and needs to be run through the juicer multiple times. Although the juicing process is quite fast, messing with the pulp slows it down.

The Juice Fountain Cold is a centrifugal juicer, which means it does not juice leafy greens very well. Since it works by spinning your fruits or vegetables at high speeds, it just tends to whisk the greens around without extracting much from them. It’s definitely a con if you’re also interested in making green juices.

It’s quite expensive compared to other centrifugal juicers, and the warranty is only one year. It could become an issue if you use the juicer every day. It seems replacement parts are widely available though, so if you don’t mind paying extra for the maintenance, it could still be a good choice.

Summary

The Breville Juice Fountain Cold is my top choice as the best centrifugal juicer. It’s got a great design, comes in a compact size, takes only about 15 minutes from assembly to clean-up, and works great on most fruits and veggies you find in your kitchen every day.

#3 Tribest Greenstar Elite – Best Twin Gear Juicer

The Tribest Greenstar Elite is a premium-class twin-gear juicer that should be every serious juicer’s dream!

It’s got a beautiful chrome body, two strong augers that are capable of processing even nuts and seeds, and it comes with a 12-year warranty.

It’s a serious investment, but one that will last for years if you take care of it properly.

Why I like it

The twin gears of the GSE-5050 are made from stainless steel, meaning your food will not come in contact with any harmful plastics. The juicer does have plastic parts, but those are mechanical only.

The Elite is even more powerful than the Omega Nutrition Center when it comes to extracting maximum juice from your produce. It’s got two gears with a narrow gap, which grind and crush the fruits and veggies and really squeeze out every last drop.

The strong metal augers are perfect for making green juices from leafy greens like kale, spinach, and even wheatgrass.

Out of all the juicers I reviewed, Tribest Elite produces the most nutritious juice:

  1. Because it doesn’t contain any plastic parts, you don’t have to worry about chemicals leaching into your healthy drink.
  2. The slow technology also protects the juice from oxidation and helps retain all of its vitamins and minerals.

Considering its twin-gear technology, the Greenstar Elite is surprisingly quiet, especially compared to the centrifugal juicers on this list.

Another unique thing I love about the Tribest is the pressure adjustment mechanism that allows you to squeeze out every last drop from your produce without any clogging and jamming. Since different foods require different processing speeds and pressure, this juicer uses a mechanism that allows you to adjust the pressure accordingly.

What I don’t like about it

Because it’s a stainless-steel juicer, it’s also almost twice more expensive than the Omega juicer. The metal build, high-quality augers, and unique functions make it worth the money, but it’s definitely not an impulse purchase.

It’s more complicated to clean than the other juicers on this list. Although all parts are dishwasher safe, the juicing screen is something that requires regular manual cleaning if you want to maintain it right.

The Elite also can’t really handle soft produce or citrus fruits very well, at least not on its own. You might get good results when alternating hard produce with soft ones. However, if you want to make pure citrus juice from time to time, this is not the juicer for you. This is one major con, considering the price of it.

Summary

The Tribest Elite is the best twin-gear juicer available right now. It’s built with safe materials that ensure it produces high-quality juice. Its two augers squeeze out every last drop of the fruits and veggies you feed into it. And it’s unique pressure-adjusting mechanism makes it a powerful, one-of-a-kind juicer.

#4 AMZCHEF Juicer – Best Slow Masticating Juicer

The AMZCHEF Slow Masticating Juicer Extractor is a fantastic choice for health-conscious people.

With its gentle extraction process, the juicer retains more nutrients and enzymes, producing delicious and nutritious juice.

Its compact size and cool design make it a perfect addition to any kitchen.

Why I Like It

One of the first things that drew me to this juicer was its sleek design. It has a compact and stylish look that would blend in well with any modern kitchen.

The AMZCHEF Slow Masticating Juicer Extractor is a slow juicer, just like the Omega J8006HDC. However, it has a wider chute, which makes prepping fruits and vegetables even faster and more convenient. The chute is large enough to accommodate most fruits and vegetables without having to cut them into smaller pieces.

Another great feature of this juicer is its quiet operation. I’ve used other juicers in the past that were loud and disruptive, but the AMZCHEF Slow Masticating Juicer Extractor is surprisingly quiet.

One of the things that really sets this juicer apart from others is its juice yield. I’ve tried juicing various fruits and vegetables with this juicer and have consistently gotten a high yield. The juice is also smooth and free of any pulp.

Cleaning the juicer is also a breeze. It comes with a cleaning brush that makes getting rid of any leftover pulp or residue very easy. The juicer also has dishwasher-safe parts, which is a huge plus.

What I Don’t Like About It

One downside to this juicer is that it doesn’t handle leafy greens as well as the Omega J8006HDC. While it can still juice them, you might need to push them down the chute a bit.

Another thing to note is that the juice made with this juicer has a shorter shelf life compared to juice made with the Omega J8006HDC. While the juice is still fresh and delicious, it’s best consumed within 24-48 hours.

Summary

Overall, the AMZCHEF Slow Masticating Juicer Extractor is a great investment for anyone looking for a high-quality juicer that can handle a variety of produce. It’s easy to use, quiet, and versatile, making it a great choice for both beginners and experienced juicers alike. While it may have a smaller chute and a shorter warranty than some other models, its affordable price point and high-quality performance make it a great value for the money.

#5 Best Hamilton Beach Juicer Machine

The Hamilton Beach Juicer Machine is a great choice for those looking for an affordable yet effective juicer.

After trying out this machine, I found it to be a reliable option for juicing both soft and hard fruits and vegetables.

Why I Like It

Firstly, the Hamilton Beach Juicer is very easy to assemble and use. It comes with a clear instruction manual, which made the process of setting it up and getting started very straightforward. This is important because I have previously had bad experiences with other juicers that were complicated to use.

Additionally, this juicer has a powerful motor that works quickly of all types of fruits and vegetables. Whether it’s soft fruits like oranges or harder produce like carrots, the Hamilton Beach Juicer has no trouble juicing them. I found the juice yield to be impressive too, with very little pulp left over in the juice.

Another great feature of this juicer is its large chute. I loved that I didn’t have to spend a lot of time cutting up my fruits and vegetables into small pieces before juicing them. This saved me time on busy mornings and made the whole juicing process much more efficient.

The Hamilton Beach Juicer is also very easy to clean. The parts can be quickly disassembled and rinsed under running water. This was a relief as some other juicers I’ve used before were very hard to clean and had a lot of small parts.

What I Don’t Like About It

One downside to the Hamilton Beach Juicer is that it is quite noisy – there are definitely quieter juicers on the market. However, this is not a deal-breaker for me, as the noise level is tolerable and expected from a powerful juicer.

Another issue I had was that the pulp collector basket is not very large. I had to stop and empty the basket frequently during the juicing process, which was quite annoying. While it can be a bit of an inconvenience if you’re juicing large quantities of produce at a time, it’s not a major issue for me.

Summary

Overall, I believe that the Hamilton Beach Juicer Machine is a solid choice for anyone looking for an affordable and reliable juicer. It has a powerful motor that can handle all types of fruits and vegetables, a large chute that saves time, and it is easy to clean.

While it can be a bit noisy and the pulp collector basket is small, these are minor issues that don’t detract from its overall performance. If you’re new to juicing or on a budget, it is a great option to consider.

Frequently Asked Questions

⭐ How To Choose A Juicer?

If you mainly want to juice hard-fleshed fruits and vegetables like apples, carrots, and celery, go for a centrifugal juicer. If you want to make juice from a variety of produce, including leafy greens, opt for a masticating or twin-gear juicer.

⭐ What Are The Top Juicer Brands?

The best juicer brands, in our opinion, are Breville, Omega, and Tribest. All of them manufacture high-quality products and come with excellent customer support. Other good brands to consider are Hurom, Cuisinart, and Kuvings.

⭐ What Is A Centrifugal Juicer?

A centrifugal juicer (also known as a juice extractor) is a type of juicer that extracts nutrients from fruits and vegetables by spinning them at high speeds and cutting them up with sharp blades. This action separates water and nutrients from the pulp, guiding the extracted liquid through a strainer and into a juice container.

These types of juicers work best with hard fruits and vegetables like carrots, apples, and celery, although some of them can also handle softer fruits like citruses. Most centrifugal juicers are not very effective for juicing leafy greens or very ripe produce.

Juice made with a centrifugal juicer is the most nutritious right after you make it, although it can last for up to 1 day in a tightly sealed container in the fridge.

⭐ What Is A Masticating Juicer?

A masticating juicer extracts liquids and nutrients by pressing, grinding, chewing, and squeezing the fruits and vegetables you feed into it. The nutritious liquid flows into a container, and the pulp is expelled into a separate one.

Masticating juicers (also known as slow juicers or cold press juicers) usually work equally well with soft and hard-fleshed fruits, and they can also be excellent for juicing leafy greens and wheatgrass. How well a masticating juicer processes certain types of produce depends on the brand and model you choose.

Juice made with a masticating juicer stays good for up to 3 days when stored in the cold.

⭐ What Is A Twin Gear Juicer?

Twin gear juicers are similar to masticating juicers as they crush, squeeze, grind, and chew the fruits/vegetables to extract the water and nutrients. They use two gears or augers to process the produce.

Twin gear juicers are also known as slow juicers and are excellent for juicing almost all kinds of fruits/veggies. Check customer reviews to learn how well your chosen unit handles different types of produce.

Juice made with a twin-gear juicer can last for up to 3 days in the cold.

⭐ How To Clean A Juicer?

Cleaning a juicer is very easy, especially if you have a manual juicer. Just disassemble your unit and wash all parts with hot water and dishwashing soap.

To clean an electric juicer:
Unplug it, then disassemble it as much as you can.
Use a spatula to remove the leftover pulp from the container.
Wash the pulp container and juice jug with hot water and dishwashing soap.
Rinse all smaller parts under running water.
Then use a nail brush or toothbrush to clean them thoroughly.
Don’t forget to clean the outside of the juicer, too, using a damp cloth.
Be careful with sponges, as these can damage the exterior.

Wrapping It Up

Voila! Here are the three best juicers to buy in 2023 – 2024. If I had to pick THE BEST juicer, it would be the Omega J8008C Nutrition Center.

Although it’s expensive and quite slow, it produces highly nutritious juice and is a versatile kitchen tool. It’s the only one out of the three that can handle all types of produce equally well, and it’s perfect for making juices from green leafy vegetables and wheatgrass.

Now that you know which juicers to consider, learn how to really use juicing to improve your health.
